On behalf of all at Music Of The Spheres, I'm proud to present the inaugural volume of GUITAR SOUNDS - Your online audio-visual magazine.
Years of enquiries from guitar enthusiasts from around the world, combined with having taught 10,000 students, has culminated in the launch of 'Guitar Sounds', designed to stimulate the guitar playing community to rise to new standards of excellence in live performance and recording skills.
For those of you new to guitar, we will be introducing you to some equipment that you might not have considered, at the right price for you; and for the more accomplished guitarist, you will particularly appreciate seeing, hearing and experiencing how the latest technology can sound, when performed by one of the world's leading Guitar Virtuosos.
Future issues will include sound demonstrations from a host of world class players, but for this e-zine, guitar guru John Mizarolli demos the ultra - clean effect of the Sonus SC50 amp, winner of the DTI Business start up of the year award stating: ‘If you want a pure signal, Sonus is the amp'. Other amplifiers featured include Roland's VGA7 and the Mesa/Boogie Nomad 55, and the guitars highlighted are the Fender Telecaster Maple Neck Vintage Series 1952 and the Jackson PC1 Electric Guitar.
We trust Guitar Sounds as it develops, will answer some of the countless questions received over the years from the guitar playing community and the next issue should help you choose from the huge variety of effects pedals on the market today.
Now sit back and prepare yourself for an audio-visual experience. With assistance from B.B.King's ex bassist, Big Joe Turner, John improvises on a 12 bar blues progression, using all chosen amplifiers in turn, initially with no effects - so as to show off the naked amp sounds, and then ... with onboard effects demonstrating 'Warp Factor 5 Sounds'. Fiery Blues Lines, Techno Shred & Metal Beats ensure a great canvas for John's meteoric shower of photosonic Guitar Solos.
